Social Responsibility

Jan comes from a tradition that believes we all have a responsibility to help heal the world. That belief, combined with her own early struggles as a young single parent without resources, is probably why she feels the need to work for social change.

In addition to giving between 10% to 30% of her after-tax income to non-profit organization, Jan also gives her time. She is presently on the Board of Directors of GirlSource, was the Vice-President of the Board of SF Habitat for Humanity, and former Treasurer of the Board for Girls After School Academy.
